As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimising our production schedules to ensure efficient operations. You will manage inventory levels, collaborate with various departments, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Your efforts will directly contribute to our mission of providing top-tier cannabis products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.

  • Coordinate with cultivation, processing, and packaging teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.

  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in demand.

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products.

  • Ensure accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits.

  • Coordinate with procurement to order materials and supplies as needed to avoid production disruptions.

  • Ensure all production activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing the cannabis industry.

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.

  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to align production schedules with sales strategies and customer demand.

  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure alignment on production goals and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or a similar role, preferably within the cannabis industry or a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.

  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations and compliance standards are a plus.
